Product Designer bridging people, technology, and complex systems
For the past 8 years, I've worked across product design, UX research, and human factors—turning messy problems, complicated workflows, and emerging technologies into experiences people can actually understand and use.
What I Do
Product Design.
I take products from ambiguous problems to thoughtful, usable experiences—from early concepts and information architecture through interaction design, prototyping, and delivery.
Research & Discovery.
I use interviews, observation, usability testing, and synthesis to uncover patterns, challenge assumptions, and give product teams better information to make decisions.
Complex Systems.
I've spent much of my career designing for environments where the stakes, constraints, and workflows are anything but simple. I enjoy making complicated systems easier to understand without pretending the complexity isn't there.
Emerging Technology.
I'm increasingly exploring what happens when AI becomes part of the product itself—not just another feature. I'm particularly interested in AI-native interactions, human oversight, and how we design for systems that aren't always predictable.
Featured Projects
Product Design · UX Research · Human Factors
Six years designing interfaces and workflows for a highly constrained operational environment—where situational awareness, cognitive load, physical context, and technical limitations all mattered.
Designing for complexity
Product Design · Research · Information Architecture
Designing experiences for scientists and researchers working with large, complex datasets, permissions, validation, and interconnected workflows.
Making complex data usable
Strategy · Human Factors · UX · Systems Thinking
Developing a framework for integrating UX, human factors, and accessibility into the engineering and acquisition process—helping bring user-centered thinking further upstream.
Designing beyond the interface
A NOTE ABOUT THE WORK
Much of my professional work has been conducted under confidentiality agreements, so I can't share everything I'd like to.
Rather than obscure or recreate work I'm not permitted to show, my case studies focus on the problems, decisions, process, and outcomes I'm able to discuss. I'm happy to share additional context during the interview process where appropriate.
